Host Families: The core of this program is the community Host Families, who each welcome a student into their home. Each ABC scholar has a host family. Many of the Host Families have high-school aged sons or daughters who also attend Masconomet Regional High School. The families voluntarily bring the scholars into their homes on Wednesday evenings and one weekend a month, some school vacations, and when they just feel like doing family things together. Families pitch in to take the scholars school shopping, to make runs to local businesses and attend school events. In other words, they make the students feel like they have a “home away from home.” How could your family become a host family? If you’re interested in learning more about reaching out to one of our scholars by becoming a host family, please contact us at
